31 May Las ventas al por menor en Canarias aumentaron en abril de 2023 a 6,1% over the same month of 2022

superada por Baleares (12,4%), Madrid (10,4%) and the Valencian Community (7,1%). On the other side, las
menores variaciones se produjeron en Melilla (-0,6%), Castile and León (-0,6%), Murcia (0,7%), Aragon
(0,7%) and Basque Country (0,7%). Atendiendo a la evolución de las ventas por grupos, éstas no sufrieron
variación en Canarias en alimentación (0,0%), mientras que subieron un 17,6% en el resto.

Por su parte, employment in Canarian retail trade has increased by 4,2% in the last twelve
meses, while at the national level it has increased 1,8%. En este concepto, Canarias está posicionada
en la segunda posición entre el conjunto de comunidades y ciudades autónomas, superada por Baleares
(5,3%) y seguida por Extremadura (3,7%), while the lowest rates of variation have occurred in
Asturias (-1,8%), Ceuta (-0,9%) y Murcia (0,2%).

26 May El ISTAC incorpora los apartamentos a su análisis de expectativa de alojamiento turístico colectivo

By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias El índice de confianza en hoteles aumenta un 1,26% en el segundo trimestre de 2023 respecto al
primero, mientras que el índice en apartamentos disminuye un 5,84%.

El 41,75% of the managers of hotel establishments in the Canary Islands consider that the progress of
su negocio durante el segundo trimestre de 2023 will be favorable while the 13,61% think it will be
unfavorable. En cambio, el 28,15% de los gestores de los establecimientos extrahoteleros considera
que la marcha del negocio será favorable mientras que el 21,22% thinks it will be unfavorable.

Regarding the trend of the main factors of the business climate for the second quarter
de 2023, in relation to the previous quarter, el 70% and the 80% de los gestores de establecimientos
hoteleros y extrahoteleros, respectivamente, consideran que el empleo se mantendrá estable, el 73% and
el 70,5% consideran que la inversión se mantendrá estable, mientras que el 46% and the 54% consideran
que el nivel de precios se mantendrá estable frente al 36% y al 33% que consideran que descenderá.

Regarding the trend in the occupancy rate for the second quarter, en relación a 2022, el
40,75% de los hoteleros considera que subirá, mientras que el 26,88% de los gestores de
establecimientos extrahoteleros opina que aumentará.

Within the assessment of influential factors in the business, the shortage of labor stands out
como factor limitante con un 60,33% de establecimientos hoteleros y un 34,33% de establecimientos
extrahoteleros. Otro factor limitante destacado es el aumento de la competencia, con un 41,27% of the
sector hotelero y un 29,03% del sector extrahotelero. On the other side, en cuanto a las políticas
aplicadas por las Administraciones Públicas destacan la influencia positiva sobre la promoción
turística y la seguridad.

22 May Las importaciones en valor acumuladas hasta marzo de 2023 in the Canary Islands they registered an increase of 20,2% about 2022

education, health reasons, etc.

The tourist stayed mainly in collective establishments (Hotels 56,9%, apartments 15,3%
y resto de alojamientos colectivos 8,6%). They also stayed in private accommodation, as
housing or room rented to an individual (8,6%) or homes of family or friends, en
propiedad u otros alojamientos privados (10,7%).

The average stay of tourists is 10,13 days. La mayor estancia media la realizaron los
residentes en Italia, con 12,14 days, followed by residents in Germany, con 11,76 days and
