structural and economic of companies. For this, variables related to personnel are analyzed.

Services sector

This sector is divided into three subsectors: vehicle sales and repair (14.000 empleos),

In this sector, The manufacturing industry is the most significant branch in the Canary Islands, with a weight of
44,15% over the total industrial sector. Its turnover has increased, motivated by
price rise. However, The number of employed workers decreased by 2,27% en
comparison with the year 2022, and also decreased compared to pre-pandemic levels (2019).
Por su parte, the energy sector, the second most representative branch in the industrial sector
insular, con un 42,3%, has decreased by 20,09% its sales figure and 13,8% the workers
respecto al año 2022.
The industrial sector of the Canary Islands represents the 1,2% of sales nationwide and 1,7% of the
total employment in Spain in this sector. These values remain stable over the year
anterior.
