The registration of vehicles with electric traction has increased by 22,9 percent in 2025. Los
electric passenger cars are the ones that have increased the most (a 22,9 percent more), while those who
have diesel traction dropped one 28,6 percent with respect to 2024.
Por islas, enrollment increased in Lanzarote (1,83%), Fuerteventura (0,46%) y Gran Canaria
(14,51%), while it went down in Tenerife (-0,34%), La Gomera (-11,4%), La Palma (-2,35%) y El Hierro
(-11,49%).
Rental vehicles
During the year 2025, vehicle registration for driverless rental services increased
a 14,1 por ciento. In total they were 22.731 vehicles intended for this service, what it means
27,8 percent of total units enrolled.
