28 Oct The number of cruise passengers in the Canary Islands decreases in September

September of this year increased by 3 percent compared to the same month of 2024. In total they were
683.593 travelers, for the 663.599 what was in 2024.

Regarding regular traffic, The ports of Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz de Tenerife were
those that had a greater movement of travelers. The first of them recorded the passage of 1 decade
3 travelers who used these infrastructures. Por su parte, the ports with the greatest increase in
travelers were La Estaca, con un aumento del 14.3% and that of Los Cristianos, con 15.4% más de
travelers.

The number of TEUS containers (the most standardized measure worldwide) who went through the
ports of the Canary Islands in September was a 29,6 percent higher than in the same month of 2024. En
total were 178.487 containers those that were accounted for by 137.701 de septiembre de 2024.

The Port of La Luz and Las Palmas is the one with the highest volume of entry and exit of

State that exists in the Canary Islands. These are the facilities of: Reef, The Rosary, lighter, La
Light and Las Palmas, Salinetas, Passion fruit, The Christians, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Sebastian
La Gomera, Santa Cruz de la Palma and La Estaca. There are other port facilities that depend on the
Government of the Canary Islands, as is the case of the Puerto de Las Nieves, Corralejo, Playa Blanca or Morro
Jable.

28 Oct Complaints of gender violence increase in the Canary Islands in the second quarter of 2025 respecto al mismo periodo del año 2024

27 Oct Imports in value in the Canary Islands until August 2025 recorded an increase of 1,7% about 2024

Un 30,6% of imports made in August 2025 were machinery and equipment

27 Oct The increase in enrollment in Vocational Training does not stop the general drop in students in the Canary Islands

enrolled, which represents a decrease in 1,2 por ciento. The number of people is also decreasing
enrolled in Primary (a 1,5 por ciento), en ESO (a 0,9 percent less) and in high school,
where the number of students decreases in a 1 por ciento.

In FP the number of students increases in all grades. In the basic there is 3.719 alumnos
enrolled, lo que supone un 9,5 percent more than the previous year. The increase in grade
medium was 1,4%, while in higher grade it increased 1,7 percent the number of students,
especially in those who study remotely (a 4,4% more than in the previous course).

In addition to Vocational Training, the number of students also increases in special education,
where enrollment grows 6,6 por ciento.

Public education is the majority in the Canary Islands, where little more than 1 decade 5 students (el
22,9%) are enrolled in privately owned centers, both concerted and non-concerted.

24 Oct Occupancy drops in the Canary Islands in the third quarter of 2025

number of salaried people fell by about 6.000 people, leaving the figure at 871.200. El
group of self-employed people fell by 5,6% compared to the previous quarter
standing in 136.700 people

Permanent hiring decreases in 5.600, while temporary hiring remained in figures
similar to those of the previous quarter. The temporary employment rate was at 16,4%, being older

By economic sectors, employment rose in agriculture, industry and construction, but it went down
in the service sector.

The number of unemployed people increased by 15.100 and the unemployment rate increased to 14,6%. En
hombres, the unemployment rate is at 13,2% and in women in the 16,2%.

Almost 4 out of every five households (79,4%) has all its members actively employed, mientras que el

22 Oct The number of holiday homes available in the Canary Islands increases in September 2025 over the same month of 2024

hundred. In Gran Canaria are located the 21 percent of these homes. In Lanzarote and
Fuerteventura is the 17% and the 14%, respectivamente, of this real estate park

In total there are 199.028 accommodation places available in holiday homes. This supposes a
0.29 percent less compared to September 2024.

During the month of September, 42.441 homes received some reservation, lo que supone un 88.87 por
percent of the total homes available on the digital platforms analyzed.

Accommodation offer

The objective of this experimental statistical operation is to offer monthly indicators of the
ability, the occupancy and profitability of the vacation home that is available in the
platforms analyzed in the reference month, among other data of interest to the sector.

As this is data similar to that obtained with traditional accommodation surveys
hotel and non-hotel, allows comparison between both typologies. For this study, se
publish data on holiday homes that provide accommodation services in the Canary Islands and that
are offered on digital intermediation platforms.
