El Índice de Precios al Consumo (IPC) disminuyó en agosto un 0,1% en tasa interanual, caída inferior en cinco décimas a la de julio, según cifras publicadas por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). Esta tasa coincide con la adelantada por el INE a finales del mes pasado. La moderación en la caída del IPC se debe, principalmente, al menor descenso de los precios de los productos energéticos, si bien la aceleración de los precios de los servicios y de los bienes industriales no energéticos (BINE) también habrían contribuido. En tasa intermensual, el IPC general aumentó en agosto el 0,1%, frente al descenso del 0,3% registrado en el mismo mes de 2015, debido en gran medida a factores estacionales relacionados con la hostelería.
