La economía española registró en el tercer trimestre del año un avance del 0,8% respecto del segundo, según los datos publicados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística. This growth almost triples the average of the euro countries for that period. En los últimos doce meses, growth has risen to 3,4%, two tenths more than the previous quarter. This rate is the highest since the fourth quarter of 2007, that is to say, a year before the recession of the Spanish economy began. El empleo crece a un ritmo anual del 3,1%, one tenth more than in the second quarter, y se crean 511.600 jobs with an increase in compensation per employee of the 0,3% in a context of falling prices.
