The Council of Ministers has approved the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and Red.es to launch the Educa en Digital program with the aim of supporting the digital transformation of education in Spain. The actions will begin to be carried out during the first quarter of the course 2020-2021.

The Council of Ministers today approved the agreement by which the fifth and final tranche of the Guarantees Line is activated to guarantee the liquidity of companies and the self-employed.. This Line was approved by the Government last 17 March for a total amount of 100.000 million euros to face the economic effects of COVID-19 and is the largest mobilization of public guarantees for start-up companies in Spain.

Today the Council of Ministers has authorized the publication of the call 2020 belonging to the Next Generation Broadband Extension Program (PEBA-NGA) 2020-2022. They will be provided up to 150 million euros of aid, Its objective is to expand the deployment of ultra-fast networks in rural areas and with less population, thus contributing to reducing the digital divide and facing the demographic challenge.
