The volume of premiums earned by the insurance sector experienced a growth of 2,16% en 2018, hasta los 65.909 millones de euros, according to the data collected in the Annual Insurance and Pension Report published by the General Directorate of Insurance and Pension Funds. The number of people employed in the second quarter of the year amounts to 19.804.900, the highest figure in the last ten years, según los datos de la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA) published today by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). The Court of Justice of the European Union (TWENTY) has issued the order to archive the sanctioning process opened to Spain for the delay in the transposition of the Directive 2014/17 on Real Estate Credit Contracts. The Court's decision comes after the European Commission informed it of the withdrawal of its claim against Spain., by considering the transposition completed with the entry into force last 16 of June of the Law regulating real estate credit contracts and the royal decree and ministerial order that develop it.
