The Council of Ministers has approved a Royal Decree-Law (RDL) which provides the Bank of Spain, to the National Securities Market Commission and the General Directorate of Insurance and Pension Funds of new macroprudential tools. El objetivo es que los organismos supervisores dispongan de los instrumentos adecuados para prevenir y mitigar posibles riesgos con capacidad de generar una perturbación en la provisión de servicios financieros que pudiera terminar afectando a la economía real.

The Council of Ministers has updated the macroeconomic scenario that is included in the draft General State Budgets for 2019. The Government estimates that the Spanish economy will grow this year 2,2%, forecast lower than one tenth than that included in the Budget Plan 15 de octubre de 2018 due, principalmente, to the greatest fiscal adjustment necessary to reduce the public deficit to the 1,3%.
