People at risk of poverty or social exclusion are considered those who are at least in
any of the following situations: at risk of poverty, in severe material deficiency or living
in households with low employment intensity.

Methodology
The EICVHC-22 is a continuation of the official statistical operations carried out in

extended to 2024. The main objective of these surveys is to make available to society
Canary Islands, a statistical observation instrument for the study and monitoring of the level of
income, its distribution in the population, living conditions (access to employment, education,
salud, quality of life etc.) and situations of social inequality and poverty of the population
resident in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands.
In this study, we surveyed 4.617 homes and 10.667 people and results have been obtained for
Canarias, for the seven most populated islands and for the large regions of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
