10 Apr The number of marriages of residents in the Canary Islands increased by 2022

en 39,44 para las mujeres. For men, the largest group of spouses is between 35 and 39
years and for women between 30 and the 34 years old.

Regarding same-sex marriages, en 2022 were celebrated 354 white, a 27,1% more than the year
anterior. El 56,4% of these links are from women and the 43,6% de hombres. The month of October is
preferred for the celebration of same-sex marriage and September in the case of different
sex.

02 Apr Febrero cierra con 1.598.635 tourists, a 17% more than in the same month of 2023

02 Apr The registered unemployment figure in the Canary Islands is 165.044 people

hombres (-2,3%). By age groups, las cifras de paro disminuyeron en todos ellos a excepción del
grupo de menores de 20 years old, donde subió el paro un 8,5%.

Registered unemployment fell on all islands, except in El Hierro, donde se mantuvieron cifras
similares a las del mes pasado. Las mayores variaciones porcentuales ocurrieron en Fuerteventura y
La Gomera, ambas islas con una tasa de -4,4%. By economic sectors, el paro registrado bajó en
todos ellos, siendo la tasa de variación en agricultura un -3%, en industria -4,2%, under construction
-1,6% y en servicios -3,1%. El colectivo de personas que buscan su primer empleo se mantuvo en
cifras similares a las de febrero.

The information provided for the elaboration of these statistics is very relevant for our
society, for the Government of the Canary Islands and other social action institutions, since from

citizenship.

27 Sea Las ventas al por menor en Canarias aumentaron un 6,0% en febrero de 2024 con respecto al mismo mes de 2023

second only to Andalusia (7,4%) y Cantabria (7,1%). On the other side, the slightest variations
produced in Murcia (2,0%), Castile and León (2,5%) and Galicia (2,8%). Taking into account the evolution of
sales by groups in the Canary Islands, these went up a 9,5% en alimentación y un 5,6% en el resto.

Por su parte, employment in Canarian retail trade has increased by 2,5% in the last twelve
meses, while at the national level it has increased 2,1%. En este concepto, Canarias está posicionada
in third position among the group of autonomous communities and cities, surpassed by Madrid
(5,8%) and Andalusia (2,7%), while the lowest variation rates have occurred in La Rioja
(-1,3%), Estremadura (-0,7%) and Melilla (-0,5%).
