24 Nov La tasa de criminalidad en Canarias ha aumentado durante el año 2022

los cuales el 55% pertenece a la provincia de Las Palmas, y el resto a Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Estos
datos suponen un aumento del 18% anual. Por tipos de infracción penal, las más frecuentes son los
hurtos (25%) y las estafas (17%).

Por hechos conocidos, siguiendo la metodología del Ministerio del Interior, se entienden el conjunto
de infracciones penales y administrativas que han sido conocidas por las distintas Fuerzas y Cuerpos
de Seguridad, bien por medio de denuncia interpuesta o por actuación policial realizada motu proprio
(labor preventiva o de investigación).
