23 May Las importaciones en valor en Canarias hasta marzo de 2024 recorded a drop in 7,4% about 2023

17 May More than 60% of tourists who visited the Canary Islands during the first quarter of 2024 declare that they are willing to choose more sustainable options when booking the trip

Irlanda y Reino Unido fueron quienes más eligieron este motivo, con un 97,4% and 94%, respectivamente.
Y los residentes en el resto del territorio español los que menos, con un 70,8%.

Para el 96,1% de los turistas, el principal aspecto al elegir Canarias como destino turístico es el
clima. Los siguientes aspectos más considerados por los turistas son la seguridad (86,6%), la
tranquilidad (86,4%) y el mar (79,1%).

Durante este primer trimestre del año sólo un 15,6% de los turistas vinieron acompañados de menores
de 13 years old. Los turistas que más viajaron con menores fueron los residentes en Irlanda (24,7%),
Suiza (20,7%) y Reino Unido (17,59%).

Más de la mitad de los turistas que visitaron Canarias en este trimestre se alojaron en hoteles
(53,7%). Otras modalidades de alojamiento elegidas fueron los apartamentos y villas turísticas
(15,5%), las viviendas o habitaciones alquiladas a un particular (11,7%), las viviendas de amigos o
familiares u otros alojamientos privados (10,8%).

El 24% de los turistas que visitaron Canarias lo hicieron con todo incluido. Los residentes en
Francia fueron quienes lideraron esta modalidad de viaje con el 32%, seguidos de los residentes en
Reino Unido(29,6%) y en Alemania (27,9%). En un acercamiento por islas, el 44,5% de los turistas que
visitaron Fuerteventura lo hicieron con todo incluido, seguida de Lanzarote con un 26,1%.

15 May Aumenta el gasto de los turistas que visitan Canarias en el primer trimestre 2024

diario que realiza cada turista se sitúa en 171,63 euros. Este dato es superior al que se dio en el
primer trimestre de 2023 (168,52 euros).

Los principales países emisores en cuanto al nivel de gasto fueron Reino Unido (with the 29,8% of the
total), Alemania (31,3%) y Países Nórdicos (14,6%). Desde la perspectiva del destino, Tenerife
lideró el gasto turístico con un 39,7% del total de Canarias, seguida de Gran Canaria (30,5%),
Lanzarote (15,5%) Fuerteventura (12,7%) y La Palma (1%).

El gasto en alojamiento fue la principal partida de gasto, con un 44,2% del total del gasto y un
aumento anual del 21,1%. Las siguientes partidas fueron el gasto en transporte internacional y
nacional y alimentación, con un 27,1% y un 15,4% of the total, respectivamente. Con un aumento anual
