The Council of Ministers has approved the bill for the creation of a sandbox, or controlled testing space, to accompany the digital transformation of the financial system. The project, which will be sent to the Cortes for parliamentary processing, establishes an appropriate legal environment to guarantee that the innovative process in the financial field is developed effectively and safely for users.

The Financial Stability Council (CESFI) has approved at the meeting held today to initiate the procedure for the creation of a national macroprudential authority. This authority will be called National Financial Stability Authority (Anesfi) and will be made up of representatives of the Central Administration (Ministry of Economy and Business), of the Bank of Spain and the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
