28 Apr Las ventas al por menor en Canarias aumentaron un 3,9% en marzo de 2025 con respecto al mismo mes de 2024

greatest variations took place in the Basque Country (6,8%), Madrid (6,4%) and Murcia (5,9%). For another
side, the smallest variations occurred in Asturias (-0,5%), Estremadura (0,0%) y Baleares
(1,4%). Taking into account the evolution of sales by groups in the Canary Islands, these went up a 5,3% en
alimentación y un 4,2% en el resto.
Por su parte, employment in Canarian retail trade has increased by 2,6% in the last twelve
meses, while at the national level it has increased 1,0%. En este concepto, Canarias (2,6%) this
positioned in second position among the group of autonomous communities and cities, siendo
only surpassed by Navarre (2,8%) and followed by the Balearic Islands (2,5%) y Castilla – La Mancha (2,5%)
while the lowest variation rates have occurred in Asturias (-0,4%), Estremadura (-0,3%),
Ceuta (0,0%) and Melilla (0,0%).
