El volumen de primas devengadas por el sector asegurador experimentó un crecimiento del 2,16% en 2018, hasta los 65.909 millones de euros, según los datos que se recogen en el Informe Anual de Seguros y Pensiones que ha publicado la Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones. Este incremento de primas ha permitido que el peso del sector asegurador se situara a cierre del año en el 5,46% of Gross Domestic Product (START).

The number of people employed in the second quarter of the year amounts to 19.804.900, the highest figure in the last ten years, según los datos de la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA) published today by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). El empleo aumentó en 460.800 people in the last twelve months, lo que supone un incremento interanual de 2,4%. The Secretary of State for the Economy and Business Support, Ana de la Cueva, ha destacado que este crecimiento de la ocupación se produce “en un contexto macroeconómico más equilibrado y sostenible que el de hace 10 años”.

The Court of Justice of the European Union (TWENTY) has issued the order to archive the sanctioning process opened to Spain for the delay in the transposition of the Directive 2014/17 on Real Estate Credit Contracts. The Court's decision comes after the European Commission informed it of the withdrawal of its claim against Spain., by considering the transposition completed with the entry into force last 16 of June of the Law regulating real estate credit contracts and the royal decree and ministerial order that develop it.

Acting Minister of Economy and Business, Nadia Calviño, announced today that the Public Treasury will reduce 10.000 million additional euros the volume of net issuance planned for 2019. This discount, along with the one announced in April 5.000 million, will place the net emission at 20.000 million. This figure represents a reduction in 42,9% above that estimated at the beginning of the year and is the lowest net emission since 2007.
