The Survey of income and living conditions of Canarian households (EICVHC-18), It's an operation
official statistics, regulated by Decree 78/2018, de 21 of may. It will be prepared by
the Canarian Institute of Statistics (ISTAC) in collaboration with the Commissioner for Social Inclusion and
Fight against poverty.
The statistics will consist of a survey directed at households and their older members. 15 years old.
They have been randomly selected 230 census sections and in each of them, 20 viviendas. El
sample size will be approx. 4.600 homes and 11.960 individuals.
The information provided for the preparation of this Statistics is very relevant for our
society, for the Government of the Canary Islands and other social action institutions, since from
she plans, social policies are evaluated and implemented for the benefit of the
citizenship.
