By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (514.161), a
35,6% of the total number of tourists; followed by resident tourists Germany (225.315), which represent
el 15,6% of the total, and residents in the rest of Spain (157.130), que aportan un 10,9% of the
total de turistas recibidos.

La isla que recibió mayor número de turistas tanto extranjeros como residentes en la Península fue
Tenerife (562.744), seguida de Gran Canaria, con 386.989 tourists.
