By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias The Canary Islands are in eighth position within the ranking of variations of this index (5,1%). Las
greatest variations took place in the Basque Country (6,7%), Ceuta (6,6%) y Cantabria (6,1%). For another
side, The smallest variations occurred in Castilla y León (1,0%), Asturias (1,8%) and Extremadura
(3,1%). Taking into account the evolution of sales by groups in the Canary Islands, these went up a 6,3% en
