By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias El 18,8% of the managers of the Canarian establishments consider that the progress of their
business will be favorable in the second quarter of 2026, mientras que el 18,0% think it will be
unfavorable. The balance of expectations, calculated as the difference between the percentage of
favorable and unfavorable responses, se sitúa en 0,8 puntos, empeorando los 8,9 of the quarter
anterior.

Regarding the progress of its business in the first quarter of 2026, el 22,2% of the
management people have had a favorable opinion. Por otra parte, el 15,6% has given his opinion
unfavorable, lo que hace que el balance de situación, calculado análogamente al de expectativas,
tome el valor 6,6, empeorando los 17,9 puntos del trimestre anterior.

Por islas, business confidence regarding the first quarter of 2026 has increased a 3,4% in the
Palma y un 1,6% in El Hierro, while it has decreased 13,4% en La Gomera, a 7,3% en
Lanzarote, a 6,2% in Gran Canaria, a 3,8% in Tenerife and a 3,2% in Fuerteventura. As to
sectors of activity, has gone up a 2,6% in construction and has dropped 8,9% in trade, a
5,4% in transportation and hospitality, a 4,4% in the industry and a 3,5% en otros servicios (sector
services except trade, transporte y hostelería).
