19 Dec The number of overnight stays decreases in the Canary Islands in November 2025 respecto al año anterior
By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Overnight stays recorded by foreign tourists decreased by 2,6 por ciento. This is
the most relevant sector since 9 decade 10 overnight stays are made by foreigners. On the other
parte, those registered by tourists residing in Spain have increased by 0,3%.
The number of travelers entering hotel and non-hotel establishments in the Canary Islands in the
November was 1,77 millions of tourists, a 0,71% más que en el mismo periodo de 2024.
The occupancy rate for rooms and apartments was at 87,89 por ciento. The island of
Lanzarote was the one with the highest occupancy rate.
During last November, hotels and apartments in the Canary Islands entered a 3,2% más
that in the same period of 2024. The turnover reached 555 millones de euros.
The average rate per occupied room was 135,51 euros. In the case of income from

117,94 euros during November 2025.
During the month of November, the number of jobs related to tourist accommodation was
