02 Oct The Canarian Institute of Statistics begins a study on social services in the Canary Islands

of the population in the socioeconomic situation and employment. The survey, what is being done

allows you to build the Consumer Confidence Index. Every two quarters, the second and fourth of
every year, The survey is complemented with a module to study specific topics.
The population studied are people of 18 and more years residing in main family homes
in the Canary Islands, and has been designed to be able to provide results at the island and, in Gran Canaria and
Tenerife, also at the level of large regions. In each quarter they are interviewed 2.400 people
distributed throughout the territory of the autonomous community.
The information provided for the elaboration of these statistics is very relevant for our
society, for the Government of the Canary Islands and other social action institutions, since from
she plans, social policies are evaluated and implemented for the benefit of the
citizenship.
