By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (460.574), a
37,8% of the total number of tourists; seguidos de los turistas residentes en el resto de España (192.142),
que representan el 15,8% of the total, y de los residentes en Alemania (173.956), contributing a 14,3%
del total de turistas recibidos.

La isla que recibió mayor número de turistas tanto extranjeros como residentes en la Península fue
Tenerife (484.965), seguida de Gran Canaria, con 295.635 tourists.
