By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (501.493), a
31,4% of the total number of tourists; followed by resident tourists Germany (265.111), which represent
el 16,6% of the total, and residents in the rest of Spain (131.888), que aportan un 8,3% of the
total de turistas recibidos.

La isla que recibió mayor número de turistas tanto extranjeros como residentes en la Península fue
Tenerife (632.295), seguida de Gran Canaria, con 450.274 tourists.
