27 Dec Las ventas al por menor en Canarias aumentaron un 4,6% en noviembre de 2024 con respecto al mismo mes de 2023
By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias The Canary Islands are in first position within the ranking of variations of this index (4,6%),
followed by Basque Country (3,5%), Andalusia (3,4%) y Cantabria (2,8%). On the other side, the minors
variations occurred in Ceuta (0,1%), Estremadura (0,2%) y Baleares (0,3%). Taking into account the
evolution of sales by groups in the Canary Islands, these went up a 6,0% en alimentación y un 4,5% en
the rest.
Por su parte, employment in Canarian retail trade has increased by 3,5% in the last twelve
meses, while at the national level it has increased 1,9%. En este concepto, Canarias (3,5%) this
positioned in second position among the group of autonomous communities and cities, overcome
through Madrid (3,8%) and followed by Andalusia (3,1%) y Baleares (2,9%), while the lowest rates
of variation have occurred in Extremadura (-0,5%), Melilla (-0,3%) and Asturias (-0,3%).
