(13,3%), seguida por Baleares (12,2%) and the Valencian Community (9,7%). On the other side, las menores
variaciones se produjeron en Murcia (1,2%), Navarra (2,1%) y Castilla – La Mancha (3,5%). Atendiendo
a la evolución de las ventas por grupos, éstas subieron en Canarias un 5,8% en alimentación y un
24,9% en el resto.

Por su parte, employment in Canarian retail trade has increased by 3,0% in the last twelve
meses, while at the national level it has increased 0,8%. En este concepto, Canarias está posicionada
in the first position among the group of autonomous communities and cities, igualada con
Estremadura (3,0%) y seguida por Baleares (2,8%) y Castilla – La Mancha (2,7%), while the
menores tasas de variación se han dado en Asturias (-3,3%), Murcia (-0,8%), Ceuta (-0,8%) y Aragón
(-0,8%).
