El sector asegurador ha registrado en la primera mitad de 2016 un incremento del volumen de primas del 17,29% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior, hasta los 31.143 millones de euros. Este incremento se ha originado, fundamentalmente, in the field of life (with a raise of the 37,51%), according to information published today by the General Directorate of Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP). This is the first time that sector data has been published after the entry into force of the 1 January of this year of Solvency II, the new risk supervision system of the European insurance sector.
