By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias El 22,6% of the managers of the Canarian establishments consider that the progress of their
business will be favorable in the first quarter of 2026, mientras que el 13,7% think it will be
unfavorable. The balance of expectations, calculated as the difference between the percentage of
favorable and unfavorable responses, se sitúa en 8,9 puntos, empeorando los 11,0 of the quarter
anterior.
En lo que respecta a la marcha de su negocio en el cuarto trimestre de 2025, el 30,8% of the
management people have had a favorable opinion. Por otra parte, el 12,9% has given his opinion
unfavorable, lo que hace que el balance de situación, calculado análogamente al de expectativas,
tome el valor 17,9, mejorando los 14,0 puntos del trimestre anterior.
Por islas, la confianza empresarial respecto al cuarto trimestre de 2025 has increased a 12,9% in the
Gomera, a 2,4% in Gran Canaria, a 0,6% in Tenerife and a 0,2% in Lanzarote, while it has
disminuido un 5,5% in Fuerteventura, a 4,4% in El Hierro and a 2,2% in La Palma. As to
sectors of activity, has gone up a 2,8% in the industry, a 2,1% en otros servicios (sector
services except trade, transporte y hostelería) y un 1,3% in the trade and has gone down a 4,9% en
construction and a 1,8% in transportation and hospitality.
