By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (491.756), a
37,2% of the total number of tourists; followed by tourists residing in the rest of Spain (210.832),
that represent the 15,9% of the total, and residents of Germany (158.902), contributing a 12% of the
total number of tourists received.

La isla que recibió mayor número de turistas tanto extranjeros como residentes en la Península fue
Tenerife (522.761), seguida de Gran Canaria, con 327.022 tourists.
