By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Por islas, the number of deaths increased in Fuerteventura (3,9%), Tenerife (1,9%) y Lanzarote
(1,7%), while it fell in the rest, with the highlight of El Hierro (-16,8%) and La Gomera
(-13,1%).

The average age of the deceased was 77 years old. In the case of men it was 74,4 years and in
that of women, 79,8years old.

Statistics on deaths in the Canary Islands offer information on deaths that have occurred
in the archipelago and also of those Canarian people who died outside the islands.
