18 May We began to openly publish non-exact basic cartographies used for the symbolic representation of geospatial statistics

By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias The initially published cartographies are:

* Tourist micro-destinations in the Canary Islands, territorial delimitations for statistical purposes.
* Regions and Great Regions of the Canary Islands, territorial delimitations for statistical purposes.
* Canary Islands, territorial delimitations for statistical purposes.
* Municipalities of the Canary Islands, territorial delimitations for statistical purposes. Valid from
2007.
* Eurostat statistical grid adapted to the Canary Islands, cells 500 m side.
* Eurostat statistical grid adapted to the Canary Islands, cells 1 km on a side.
* Eurostat statistical grid adapted to the Canary Islands, cells 250 m side.

The information is offered in the WGS84 geodetic geographic coordinate system. (World Geodetic
System 1984, SRID:4326), used by the Institute. Alphanumeric data is encoded in
UTF-8.
