By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (504.800), a
38,2% of the total number of tourists. Followed by tourists residing in the rest of Spanish territory
(195.742), representing the 14,8% of the total, and residents of Germany (181.032), contributing a
13,7% of the total number of tourists received.

The island that received the largest number of tourists was Tenerife (557.010), seguida de Gran Canaria, con
314.423 tourists.
