By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (565.329), a
36,4% of the total number of tourists. Followed by tourists residing in Germany (240.215),
representing the 15,5% of the total, and residents in the rest of Spanish territory (156.971),
contributing a 10,1% of the total number of tourists received.

The island that received the largest number of tourists was Tenerife (617.714), seguida de Gran Canaria, con
410.664 tourists.
