By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (492.212), a
39,3% of the total number of tourists; followed by tourists residing in the rest of Spanish territory
(163.865), that represent the 13,1% of the total, and residents of Germany (157.874), contributing
a 12,6% of the total number of tourists received.

The island that received the largest number of tourists was Tenerife (528.408), seguida de Gran Canaria, con
294.006 tourists.
