By Instituto Canario de Estadística, (ISTAC), del Gobierno de Canarias Tourists from the United Kingdom represented the largest number of entries (492.212), a
39,3% of the total number of tourists; seguidos de los turistas residentes en el resto de territorio español
(163.865), que representan el 13,1% of the total, y de los residentes en Alemania (157.874), aportando
a 12,6% del total de turistas recibidos.

La isla que recibió mayor número de turistas fue Tenerife (528.408), seguida de Gran Canaria, con
294.006 tourists.
