21 Nov The crime rate increases in the Canary Islands during the year 2024

which the 52% belongs to the province of Las Palmas, and the rest to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
These data represent an increase in 3% anual. By type of criminal offense, criminal offenses
thefts are more frequent (27%) and the scams (17%).
By known facts, following the methodology of the Ministry of the Interior, they understand the whole
of criminal and administrative offenses, that have been known by the different Forces and
Security Forces, either through a complaint filed or by police action carried out motu
own (preventive or investigative work).
