Collective Tourist Accommodations. To obtain the information, a massive analysis has been carried out
of the data offered by digital platforms where homes are advertised. For this

volume of constantly updated information.

Most of this type of housing is on the island of Tenerife., that has the 41 por
hundred. In Gran Canaria are located the 21,4 percent of these homes. In Lanzarote and
Fuerteventura is the 17,1% and the 13,6%, respectivamente, of this real estate park.

In total there are more than 190.000 accommodation places available in holiday homes. This supposes
a 7,3 percent more compared to May 2023.

During the month of May, 38.913 homes received some reservation. This record also
experience a continuous rise. In the last year there has been an increase 11 por ciento, according to the data that
ISTAC provides.

Accommodation offer

The objective of this experimental statistical operation is to offer monthly indicators of the
ability, occupancy and profitability of vacation homes, among other information of interest
for the sector.

As this is data similar to that obtained with traditional accommodation surveys
hotel and non-hotel, allows comparison between both typologies. This contributes to having a
more complete vision of the tourist accommodation offer in the Canary Islands.

housing is included in the code 55.2 of the National Classification of Economic Activities
(CNAE) 2009.
